#WAVES GTR3 WILL NOT RECORD IN CAKEWALK PRO#
Am I just not getting it I have a new Epiphone dot flametop and Peavey Millenium bass that I am dying to try out using GTR3. Fixed: Bug causing Pro Tools AudioSuite handles not to be disabled for Doubler, Waves Tune, Waves Tune LT, and Waves Tune Real Time. Sonar recognizes all of the cool processors etc., but where is GTR3 and stomps I upgraded from GTR2 that I used with Cubase and it worked fine with it. PC is Dell Precision T7400 w/ Dual quad-core 2.66 Xeons, 8Gig RAM and 3 hard drives.Īny help would be appreciated - I'm out of ideas and getting desperate. I have Waves Mercury and am new to Sonar 7. I'm running Win7 64, Sonar 8.5.3 PE 64, Mackie Onyx 400F, UAD-1, GTR3 & BFD2, Nvidia Quadro FX1700 - all with latest patches, drivers, etc. I've reinstalled GTR3 with same results (tried both v6 and v7).

I'm now also unable to run shell2vst once after the upgrade - it just crashes.

After the upgrade, GTR3 now won't even launch in standalone and any projects containing GTR3 as track plugins won't open. Not everyone has the luxury of having a drummer available to record. Hyperthreading and x-ray are disabled, I reopened / closed the plugin several times, upgraded video drivers, colors are 32bit depth, used shell2vst, entered the path in Sonar's plugin manager and rescanned the path.įolks recommended upgrading to Sonar 8.5 PE 64, as it's more stable and includes a newer bitbridge. Finally, you can use the Waves Bass Slapper both as a plugin and as a standalone. The result is the most amazing guitar tones you will ever hear coming out of your computer. The problem is that I record a song, which is originally 3:38 long and even though I start the recording the very moment I play the song (so it is the same length) when I'm done and I export the audio into wave, the file is just 3:30 long and when I import the sound into Sony Vegas and try to synchronize it with the original song, it does this. I had no problems pulling up and tweaking several amps/settings and saving the. Waves captured the finest vintage and contemporary amps from Fender®, Marshall®, Mesa/Boogie®, Vox®, and more, using revolutionary sampling techniques that go way beyond standard modeling. I hadnt really worked with my recent upgrade to Waves GTR3 so I figured I program up a few new amps and stomp combos. Originally I couldn't get Waves GTR3 to function as a plugin in Sonar 8.3.1 PE 64, Win7 64 - but it worked fine in standalone. Well, I guess you can tell Im working in my project studio this weekend as things keep cropping up.

Waves GTR3 isn't officially supported on 64 bit platforms, however people on this post have mentioned it works for them. I had a previous thread on this, but after upgrading to Sonar 8.5 PE 64, the symptoms have changed, so thought I'd repost.
